Email your MP to support UN Global Road Safety Week

The UN are calling for 20mph or 30km/h speed limits to become the norm in places where people on foot or on bicycle mix with motor vehicles. It is the key focus of the 6th UN Global Road Safety Week running from 17th-23rd May.

This is backed by science and the call from communities to set speed limits that are compatible with liveable communities.

The UN have set up their own website for this call at https://www.unroadsafetyweek.org/en/home#letter where you can sign an open letter for the UN campaign and strengthen their campaign.

We are campaigning for the UK government to set a national 20mph urban default limit for England and encourage the other devolved authorities in Scotland and Northern Ireland to change their own national limit to 20mph.

We have also provided this form for you to easily email your local MP.

Please reduce the speed limit to 20 MPH on roads that pass through towns and villages, Little Berkhamstead is a lovely little village in Hertfordshire, England, and the traffic roars through there, It is just so dangerous.
