Welcome...
...to 20’s Plenty for Us, the Community Interest Company that supports and advises local communities and authorities wanting 'better places to be'. Apolitical, we work with organisations and individuals that are trying to get a 20mph speed limit in their cities, towns and villages. We receive no government or political party funding.
- Nearly 30 million people in the UK live in places committed to 20mph
- On 7th December 2023, Scotland announced 20mph on all appropriate roads by 2025
- On 17th September 2023, Wales implemented a 20mph national default for residential roads.
- The UN General Assembly endorses 20mph speed limits where people and motor vehicles mix.
We delighted to announce the latest in our series of webinars on Delivering 20mph on 26th February at 12 noon. Entitled "Reviewing the latest results from Wales and beyond", expert speakers will give their views about what the latest results from Wales mean for Local Authorities in England. Register for the event by clicking here or on the image opposite.
The latest findings from Wales provide 12 months of data and gives real insight into speed, crash and casualty reductions that result from lowering speed limits to 20mph. Besides a deep dive into this data by Agilysis and PJA, the impact on insurance risk, claims and premiums will be presented by insurer esure.
We will discuss how the analysis informs decision-making for authorities in the rest of the UK and should be used to embed 20mph into the UK Government’s Road Safety Strategy.
Our first webinar was seen by over 1,000 people, including over 500 on the day. If you would like to watch it, please click here.
